1. Adhira
Directed by Prasanth Varma, “Adhira” stars Kalyan Dasari, the son of producer DVV Danayya. The film appears to be based on Lord Indra, as suggested by the promotional materials. It features the debutant in a hooded cloak, wielding a sword that looks like a spine amidst lightning.
2. Jai Hanuman
Also directed by Prasanth Varma, “Jai Hanuman” will focus on Lord Hanuman. The lead role for this film is yet to be cast, but it promises to delve deep into the mythology surrounding this revered deity.
3. Kalki 2898 AD Part 2
Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, is a sci-fi fantasy rooted in the Mahabharata. It explores the lore of Kalyug and Kalki avatars. The first part was a hit, and the second part is eagerly awaited.
4. Kannappa
“Kannappa,” directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, is a hagiographical film about a devotee of Shiva. Vishnu Manchu stars in the title role, with cameo appearances by Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Prabhas as gods from Indian mythology. “Odela 2,” the sequel to “Odela Railway Station,” features Tamannaah Bhatia as Shiva Shakti, a naga sadhu.
