Tollywood heroes shift gears with a new film trend

Tollywood is witnessing a new trend where young actors are choosing unique and diverse film genres. Instead of following the usual commercial formula, these actors are experimenting with different storylines to give audiences a fresh experience.

One of the leading actors setting this trend is Nani. Known as the “Natural Star,” he has been selecting films from various genres. After the raw and intense movie Dasara, he acted in the emotional family drama Hi Nanna. His upcoming films, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (a commercial entertainer) and Hit 3 (an action drama), further show his versatility.

Another young hero following this trend is Nikhil. He has explored genres like spy action, romantic drama, folklore, and fantasy. Success or failure does not affect his choices, as he continues to experiment with different film styles. Similarly, Varun Tej has been trying unique genres like sports drama, aerial action, and period crime thrillers.

Even Vijay Deverakonda, who was known for commercial films, is now shifting towards different styles. His upcoming projects are set in different time periods and genres, requiring him to adopt new looks and body language. Akkineni heroes are also exploring new paths. Naga Chaitanya, who mostly acted in classy films, recently entered the mass genre with Thandel. His next film is a fantasy drama directed by Karthik Dandu. Akhil, too, is experimenting with romantic dramas, spy thrillers and vintage love stories.

Audiences are loving this trend as it provides them with fresh content instead of routine formula films. Critics also believe this shift will benefit the industry by bringing in more creativity and innovation. If this trend continues, Tollywood will see more exciting and diverse films in the coming years.
