In a shocking noted Tollywood director, B. Jaya passed away on Thursday (August 30) of a heart attack. Jaya used to reside in Srinagar Colony and died around 11pm in the night the time of her death, she aged 54. It is learnt that she was battling from health ailments for a long time. Her last rites are supposed to take place at Punjaguttacemeteryy.
She made her directorial debut with Chantigadu in 2003, and then she went to produce Gundammagari Manavadu, Premikulu, and Lovely. Not many know that she used to do editing for her own films. Currently, she was running a cinema magazine.

Before she ventured into filmmaking, she had a stint as a journalist at Andhra Jyothy daily. Actor Sai Dharam Tej took to twitter sending condolences to the bereaved family of the director.
