In a first, a Malayan tiger has tested positive for novel COVID-19 at a New York Bronx zoo. The test was conducted by the USDA’s National Veterinary Services Laboratory at Iowa .As per the Zoo staff, the animal was exposed by by an asymptomatic worker, adding preventive measure have be enforced to stop the spread to other animals.

Meanwhile, statement released by the zoo said, Though they have experienced some decrease in appetite, the cats at the Bronx Zoo are otherwise doing well under veterinary care and are bright, alert, and interactive with their keepers,” the zoo’s release said.
