Mammootty, however, declined the offer with a surprising and insightful response. He asked Allu if it would be appropriate to offer such a role to Chiranjeevi, a leading figure in Telugu cinema. This comparison highlighted Mammootty’s perspective on the types of roles suitable for actors of his and Chiranjeevi’s stature.
Allu Aravind admitted that Mammootty’s response made him realize the mistake he had made in offering the role. The producer respected Mammootty’s decision and understood the reasoning behind it.
Mammootty’s career spans multiple regional film industries, including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. His last appearance was in the Malayalam film “Turbo,” released in May 2024. He is set to star in another Malayalam film, “Bazuka” expected to release next year.
