Ghanta Naveen Babu affectionately known as Nani, is a well-known actor who has starred in several blockbuster movies. While he is now a superstar Nani’s journey to success was filled with challenges and hard work.
Nani once shared a memorable moment from his early career when he earned his first salary as an assistant director. He recalled feeling overjoyed when he received Rs 4000 for his efforts. In an interview, Nani said “When I was an assistant director, my first salary was Rs 4000. It was all in 100 rupee notes and when I put them in my pocket I felt so rich. Riding back home on my bike I felt like I could buy half of Hyderabad.”

Despite earning much more in his later career, Nani confessed that he never felt the same happiness as he did with that initial paycheck. He also reminisced about his routine of going to a dhaba with friends every Saturday. The anticipation of spending time with his friends kept him excited throughout the week.
Nani’s Work Front
Nani was recently seen alongside Mrunal Thakur in the 2023 film “Hi Nanna” directed by Shouryuv and produced by C V Mohan, Vijender Reddy Teegala, and K.S. Murthy. The movie centers on a single father and his adorable daughter, Mahi, and features notable actors like Nassar, Jayaram, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, and Angad Bedi.
Next up for Nani is “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” a vigilante action thriller directed by Vivek Athreya. This film marks Nani’s second collaboration with Athreya and features a star-studded cast including Priyanka Mohan, S. J. Suryah, Aditi Balan, and Sai Kumar. “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” is set to release on August 29 in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Additionally, Kalpboard a few days back reported that Nani might team up with Janhvi Kapoor for his 33rd film. However, an official announcement from the filmmakers is still awaited.
