THIS Tollywood actor to star in Prasanth Varma’s Brahma Rakshasa
It has been a long time since Rana Daggubati acted in a lead role. His last major film as a lead was Virata Parvam which released in 2022. After that, he has not had any significant projects as the main actor.
There were discussions about a film titled Rakshasa Raju, directed by Teja. However, the project did not progress further. The film was eventually shelved. There has been no official statement, but many believe the project is abandoned.
Director Teja has since focused on launching his son as a lead actor. Meanwhile, Rana’s much-anticipated project Hiranyakashipu directed by Gunasekhar was also canceled.
Despite these setbacks, Rana has remained active in the film industry. He played supporting roles in several films. These include Spy starring Nikhil, Love Mouli starring Navdeep, and Vettaiyan with Rajinikanth. Rana also hosted a talk show for Amazon Prime Video.
A new development has sparked interest among fans. Director Prasanth Varma initially planned a project with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. However, Ranveer unexpectedly walked out of the film without informing the team. This left Prasanth Varma searching for a replacement.
Reports suggest that Prasanth Varma pitched the same story to Rana Daggubati. Rana reportedly agreed to the project. The film is tentatively titled Brahma Rakshasa.
Prasanth Varma is currently working on other commitments. He is finishing his upcoming film Jai Hanuman. He is also preparing to work with Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna on another film.
Once these projects are completed, Brahma Rakshasa is expected to begin production. Fans are excited to see Rana in this new venture.
