Mohanlal, one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, is enjoying great success with his latest movie, L2: Empuraan. The action-packed Malayalam film received a fantastic response from audiences and performed exceptionally well at the box office.
Recently, rumors started spreading that Mohanlal would be joining the cast of Kantara: Chapter 1, the much-awaited prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara. During an interview, the legendary actor responded to these speculations in a humorous way.
He said, “If they want me in Kantara 2, they should give me a role. I think I’m not a bad actor.” His lighthearted response made fans wonder if there’s a possibility of seeing him in the film.
Kantara: Chapter 1 is the prequel to Kantara, a film that won several awards and was loved by audiences. The new film is already in production with shooting taking place at multiple locations. Rishab Shetty who gained fame with the first film is returning to direct and act in the prequel.
Apart from Kantara: Chapter 1, Rishab Shetty is also working on other exciting projects, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, directed by Sandeep Singh, and Jai Hanuman directed by Prasanth Varma.
Recently, reports surfaced about environmental concerns linked to the filming of Kantara: Chapter 1. Large explosions used during the shoot allegedly harmed forest areas and wildlife. This raised concerns about the impact of filmmaking on nature.
