A few days back, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut announced that she is doing late actress and politician Jayalathilatha’s biopic, as her next project. Titled as Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi, the movie will be directed by AL Vijay. Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad is penning the script for it.
Apparently, Kangana was not the first choice to play Jaya’s role in the film. The makers wanted another actress Vidya Balan to do it. Even Vidya showed interest in it initially but turned it down later as she is doing another biopic on Indira Gandhi. The actress didn’t want to do two biopics at a time.
Thus, the offer eventually landed up in the arms of Kangana. We have to see how far will she do justice to her role. The shoot of this film will start in a couple of months. Meanwhile, Kangana’s other film, Mental Hai Kya is slated to release on June 21.
