The death Kodela Siva Prasad, former Andhra Pradesh speaker and TDP leader, has come as shocking news. A lot of doubts and speculations were on the rise over Kodela death whether it is the case of suicide or any other angle to it. Meanwhile, police officials who have begun investigation have said this about Kodela’s death.
West Zone DCP AR Srinivas said, “Around 12 noon, we were informed about the news of his death. As per the preliminary information, family members found Kodela attempting suicide at around 11’o Clock. He was brought to the hospital by 11.30 am. Doctors tried to save his life for about an hour. Finally, they have declared him dead after our arrival at the hospital’.
The West Zone DCP AR Srinivas added, “According to family members, Kodela went to his room upstairs around at 9’o clock. That is when his daughter Vijaya Lakshmi went upstairs to inform Kodela that his Wife has to be taken to the hospital. When Kodela didn’t open the door, his daughter realized something was wrong upon looking into the room from the window as Kodela was in an unconscious state. Immediately, driver and gunman were alerted. Kodela was rushed to Basavatharakam Hospital by these three people. He might have died around 10 am or 10.30 am. When we spoke to his daughter, she informed that Kodela is under stress since some time but didn’t express doubts on anyone. We haven’t found any suicide note so far. Cause of death can be confirmed based on the post-mortem report”.
