THESE two superstars set to join Prabhas in Spirit
Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film Spirit was initially planned to begin shooting this summer. However, due to Prabhas’ recent injury, the project is expected to face a delay. His ongoing films, The Raja Saab and Fauji, are already behind schedule, pushing back the filming of Spirit as well.
Meanwhile, director Sandeep Vanga is reportedly making final adjustments to the script and exploring casting options. Last month, a casting call was announced, attracting both newcomers and established actresses eager to work with Prabhas. However, the lead actress for the film remains unconfirmed.
Actor Manchu Vishnu expressed his desire to be part of Spirit, though there is no official confirmation regarding his involvement. Similarly, reports suggested that actor Suhas auditioned for a pivotal role, but Suhas denied the claims, stating he is occupied with other commitments.
Adding to the speculation, rumors suggest that South Korean actor Don Lee, known for his roles in Train to Busan and Eternals, may portray the antagonist. There have also been reports of Vijay Sethupathi being considered for a role. Additionally, Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were rumored to play gangster characters opposite Prabhas. However, none of these casting choices have been confirmed.
Despite the delay, Sandeep Vanga is known for his swift filmmaking process. Once production begins, the film might progress rapidly. Industry insiders speculate that Spirit could still target a 2025 release. Prabhas will reportedly play a police officer in the action-packed entertainer.
