Plot
Guru played by Aadhi Pinisetty is the underworld king of Kurnool. In comes a duty minded doctor played by Ram. He takes on Guru but gets sidelined in no time. To teach Guru a lesson, Satya aka Ram becomes a cop and gets back with a vengeance. How did he end the empire of Guru is he whole story of the film.
Performances
Ram plays the cop for the first time in his career and he impresses with his act. His body language and screen presence suits the mood of the film. Krithi Shetty is beautiful and is performing quite well with each passing film.
Nadia is wasted in a routine role. Brahmaji gets to dissolute his acting talent. But the real star of the film is Aadhi Pinisetty who is terrific as Guru. He is the major highlight and even sidelines Ram in so many scenes. If not for him, the films output would have been disappointing.

Analysis
Cop dramas are one and the same but the way they are treated makes the whole lot of difference. In The Warriorr the makers have made sure that the audience get a breezy narration and do no rush up things just for the sake of it.
That is the reason the first half has been set up in an organic manner. Ram is a doctor and he goes back in exclile and comes back as a cop. This angle is new and has not been used in Telugu cinema before.
In all this, the songs are also placed quite well in the proceedings. DSP has made sure that the film has good songs and even better was his BGM. But where does the problem lie in this film. It is in the second half where things get monotonous.
The narration is ordinary and there is no novelty in the drama. More drama and action blocks between the hero and villain would have made a world of difference to the film.
Lingusamy has directed this film without much flaws but one should understand that there is also nothing new that he has created. So The Warrior is a cop drama that is for front benchers. The star cast is apt and they will not disappoint you but the predictable narration will.
