In March 2022, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri delivered a remarkable blockbuster with “The Kashmir Files.” This cinematic gem achieved extraordinary success, amassing approximately Rs 200 crore in India and ranking among the year’s biggest hits.
Buoyed by the triumph of “The Kashmir Files,” director Vivek Agnihotri embarked on a new cinematic journey centered around India’s achievements in combating the coronavirus. On September 28, the film “The Vaccine War” made its theatrical debut. Unfortunately, the initial box office collections have been disappointingly meager.
Particularly in Hyderabad, the film’s collections are virtually negligible. Initially, the director had boldly stated that his film would go head-to-head with Prabhas’s “Salaar” on September 28, but “Salaar” was subsequently rescheduled for release on December 22. Despite this change in competition, “The Vaccine War” struggled to secure a respectable opening day box office figure.
