A source reveals that Shetty was requested to dedicate two days to promotions following the successful opening of her recent film ‘Manamey,’ but she declined due to her commitments in Tamil cinema.
As per an article published in Deccan Chronicle, the actress promoted the film before its release and left for Chennai for the shoot of her upcoming film. However, post-release activities such as visiting theaters and engaging with the media are something the makers could not convince her of.

Shetty reportedly informed the production team that her schedule was packed with projects involving Tamil actors like Karthi and Pradeep Ranganathan, leaving her unable to spare any additional dates.
The industry insider emphasized that young actresses need to be more available for both pre and post-release events, as producers invest heavily in films and rely on comprehensive promotion strategies to recover their costs. “Krithi’s decision to overlook these crucial promotions is quite an unhealthy practice,” he concluded.
