Nandamuri Balakrishna’s chartbuster ‘Enno Ratrulosthayi Gani’ from the 1992 blockbuster hit ‘Dharma Kshetram’ has been an evergreen chartbuster. Old-timers of that era would just swoon listening to the famous single. Now after 30 years, Telugu filmgoers are delighted to see the remix version of the song in Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s upcoming movie ‘Amigos’.
Speaking to reporters, Kalyan Ram reasoned out as to why the team experimented to bring the vibe back by incorporating the iconic single in his movie.
Kalyan Ram says, “In the second half we wanted a situation song. When I and director Rajendra Reddy sat for a conversation, we thought the film’s rhythm was good. We thought we came up with a fresh concept and the flow with which the second half is running is amazing. Here, we didn’t want to annoy audiences with a song of 3 minutes. Viewers shouldn’t fret with some love duet playing on the screen for three minutes. That’s when the idea came up to bring something new.”
‘Amigos’ is releasing in theatres on February 10. Directed by Rajendra Reddy and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the film showcases Kalyan Ram in three different lookalike characters. Ashika Ranganath is the leading lady while Nithin Prasanna is playing the key role.
