Thalapathy Vijay, one of India’s most celebrated actors, is making headlines with his upcoming movie, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). The film, which has been eagerly anticipated by fans, has recently caught even more attention due to the revelation of Vijay’s remuneration.
According to the film’s producer, Archana Kalpathi, Vijay is set to earn a staggering Rs. 200 crores for his dual role in the movie, making him the highest-paid actor in Indian cinema. This puts him ahead of other top actors like Prabhas, who previously held the record with Rs. 150 crores, and Salman Khan, who charges around Rs. 125 crores.
Vijay’s GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is expected to be a landmark film in his career, especially as it features him playing both a father and a son. The project has already begun earning profits, even before its release, due to the massive fan support and excitement surrounding it.
Venkat Prabhu, in a recent interview, shared that the film is filled with unexpected twists and turns, making it an unpredictable and thrilling experience for viewers. He teased that GOAT would be “like Mankatha on steroids,” referring to his earlier hit film.
The film which completed its post-production work on August 30, 2024 is slated for release on September 5, 2024. With such a massive buzz and Vijay’s star power, GOAT is poised to be a major box office success.
