Director Tharun Bhascker shared a hard-hitting post in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. In his Instagram post Pelli Choopulu director called out for a change underscoring how stories can trump stars any day. In his lenthy post, he wrote which was all’s shared by Vishwak Sen reads, , “Being rich, famous or beautiful isn’t perfection. There’s no such thing as perfect. We are all flawed. In that, there is beauty.” (sic)
He asked to stop judging films on the amount they rake in at box-office, he added, “Stop judging films by the money they make, stop judging people by the followers they have, stop judging people by the likes they have. See things for what they truly are..” (sic) Rounding up his note, he wrote, “Maybe then we’ll be real to each other and start making conversations that actually mean something.” (sic)
He further added, He wrote, “When you work with new actors in the industry – you are type casted as a ‘short filmmaker’ or a low budget filmmaker. To feel elite you have to break the box office with super stars. It’s like peer pressure. You have to make big money even if you don’t need it. S***w that. Time to realise that stories trump stars anyday.” (sic)
