Thandel box office collection day 2
The Telugu film Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi opened with a decent response at the box office. However, on the second day, the film witnessed a noticeable drop in earnings. According to early reports, Thandel collected ₹6.18 crore in India by 8 PM on day 2.
On its opening day, Thandel earned ₹11.5 crore in India. The Telugu version alone contributed ₹11.3 crore, while the Hindi and Tamil versions collected ₹12 lakh and ₹8 lakh, respectively. The total worldwide collection on day 1 stood at ₹18.5 crore, with ₹13.5 crore from India and ₹5 crore from overseas.
Despite being the first weekend, the drop in collections on Saturday suggests mixed word-of-mouth among audiences. The film had an overall occupancy rate of 53.58% in the Telugu market on day 1, but this figure declined on day 2.
About the Film
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Geeta Arts, Thandel is based on a real-life story. The movie also features Rao Ramesh, Divya Pillai, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. It marks Naga Chaitanya’s first film after his wedding to Sobhita Dhulipala.
With Sunday being a crucial day, the film’s performance will determine its long-term success. If positive word-of-mouth continues, Thandel might recover from this dip and see stable collections in the coming days.
