In February this year, Thalapathy Vijay launched his political party and announced his intention to leave acting to focus on his political career. This unexpected announcement left his fans wondering about his future roles, especially his involvement in the LCU, which was established with the 2023 film “Leo.” The latest updates suggest that while Vijay will not appear physically in “Kaithi 2,” he will lend his voice to the film.
Thalapathy Vijay in Kaithi 2: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj had previously mentioned that “Kaithi 2” would include all the characters introduced in the LCU so far. This includes Kamal Haasan as Vikram, Karthi as Dilli, Suriya as Rolex, and Thalapathy Vijay reprising his role as Leo/Parthiban. However, according to the IndiaGlitz report, Vijay’s involvement will be limited to a voice role. “Kaithi 2” is expected to be released by the end of next year.

The Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) began with the 2019 film “Kaithi,” followed by “Vikram” starring Kamal Haasan, and “Leo” featuring Thalapathy Vijay.
