Superstar Rajnikanth who scored his much-required hit with ‘2.0’ is all set to arrive with his upcoming release ‘Petta’. Touted to be a complete mass entertainer, ‘Petta’ is coming during the Pongal season. But, the confusion over its Telugu version hasn’t left yet.
Telugu Petta To Clash With Akhil’s Mr Majnu?
The team of ‘Petta’ recently released the Telugu jukebox hinting its release during the Sankranti season. But a string of big films like ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’, ‘F2’ and ‘NTR – Kathanayakudu’ are arriving during the festive season. ‘Petta’ coming in between these movies may cause damage to itself and even other films. There may be a lot of trouble in allotting the theatres. So, C.Kalyan who bagged the Telugu rights is planning to release the film on Republic day.
But Akhil’s ‘Mr. Majnu’ is coming on that day. With Akhil needing a hit at any cost, a clash with Rajnikanth is nothing but a suicide. So, BVSN Prasad who is producing ‘Mr. Majnu’ is making moves to avoid this clash. With all these happenings, we have to wait and see on which date does ‘Petta’ release.
