A day after chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced how the state is equipped to tackle novel covid-19, third coronavirus case was registered in the state. This comes close on the heels, a day after, second case was registered. The person in question is 27-year-old male patient who tested positive, who recently returned from Netherlands earlier this month. The patient is currently placed in isolation ward in Gandhi Hosptial. His condition is said to be stable.
Coronavirus global number reaches over a lakh
In the last 24 hours, nearly 9,751 new coronavirus cases were reported outside China, making the global number of infections to 142,539, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Outside China, 61,518 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported as of Saturday morning, among which 2,199 patients died, an increase of 424 deaths compared to the previous day. An additional 13 countries and regions have reported confirmed cases, increasing the number of affected countries and regions globally to 135.
