The setup of the film in a Kabaddi backdrop looks good. Upon this, the action avatar in which Gopichand is shown is also impressive. The visuals of Kabaddi and Gopichand dealing with the goons in the language of the sport look good. The action blocks showcased are also quite nice and look stylized. The teaser has a neat impact and is quite racy.
The story looks quite routine and the film villain is also not strong at all. Maybe a noted villain could have helped matters in a big way. Tamannah has no meat in the teaser and looks out of space. The only character is established and that about it. The hero has a flashback and he becomes a Kabaddi coach, all this shown in several films. Things will work only if the narration is good.
By the looks of it, the film will have a predictable storyline of a Kabaddi coach having a past and why he has turned into sports. The only difference here is the sport of Kabaddi which has been nicely incorporated. This part looks good and one can vouch for good action as Gopichand looks rock solid. But now everything depends on the director Sampath Nandhi.
