Atlee rose to fame on a national scale with his film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, marking him as one of the most successful directors. His outstanding success at the box office, particularly with actor Thalapathy Vijay and the recent blockbuster Jawan, has allegedly led to Atlee commanding a substantial fee.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that he is on track to receive Rs 60 crores for his upcoming project, propelling him into the ranks of the highest-paid directors in India. However, an official confirmation is yet to be made.
The rumor mill is abuzz with speculation about Atlee’s next project, which is said to involve collaboration with South Indian superstar Allu Arjun. Although discussions between the two have been ongoing, the realization of this partnership remains uncertain.
Presently, Allu Arjun is immersed in the shooting of the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa: The Rule shooting that is going to hit the screen on August 15, 2024. Following the release of Pushpa: The Rule, Allu Arjun is anticipated to shift focus to Atlee’s project. Meanwhile, Atlee seems inclined towards producing films like Baby John rather than taking on additional directorial commitments.
Initially, plans hinted at a collaboration between Allu Arjun and his longtime collaborator, director Trivikram Srinivas, for the actor’s next film. However, many people on the internet are expressing their thoughts, saying it might not be fair for Atlee to increase his pay so much just for one successful pan-India movie.
