In a shocking incident, Tamil actor Siddharth Gopinath’s wife Smrija allegedly committed suicide on late Tuesday after a heated argument with her husband. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan by Siddharth on Wednesday morning, following which he informed the police.
“The couple had gone out last night and after coming home, they had an argument over a personal issue. Looks like the argument turned serious that led the woman to commit suicide late in the night while her husband was asleep in the hall. We got the information today morning. The investigations are on,” a portal reported.

“RDO enquiry has been ordered. We don’t have any details yet. Postmortem is yet to take place. We will know more in a couple of days. Since RDO enquiry is in progress, we cannot say much now,” said a senior police official.
Siddharth Gopinath is an aspiring actor who had appeared in Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka starring Aadhi and Nikki Galrani. The film was also released in Telugu, however, it didn’t fare well at the box-office.
