Senior Tamil actor Radha Ravi has made shocking allegations against producer Ashwini Dutt. Ashwini Dutt who recently had a blockbuster hit with the movie Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas has been accused by Radha Ravi of rejecting him based on caste.
In a recent interview, Radhika’s brother Radha Ravi recounted an incident from the 1980s when he was approached by Ashwini Dutt for a role in one of his films. At that time, Radha Ravi was in Vizag for the film “Kaliyuga Pandavulu,” which starred Venkatesh and Kushboo. Ashwini Dutt wanted to book Radha Ravi for a role but Radha Ravi mentioned that he only trusted K. Raghavendra Rao, a well-known Telugu director, and would follow his direction.

According to Radha Ravi, Ashwini Dutt then asked his assistant to inquire about Radha Ravi’s caste. Radha Ravi mentioned that he might belong to the Balija Naidu caste. Upon hearing this, Ashwini Dutt left without giving any reason and canceled all the films for Radha Ravi under his banner. Radha Ravi expressed confusion and disappointment over this incident noting that even K. Raghavendra Rao, when asked about it later did not understand why Ashwini Dutt had taken such a decision.
