Tabu to make her comeback in Tollywood

Popular actress Tabu is ready to make her return to Telugu cinema after a long gap. Telugu audiences still remember her for her roles in movies like Coolie No. 1, Ninne Pelladatha, and Aavida Maa Aavide. She shared the screen with big stars like Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, and Chiranjeevi in the past. However, over the years, she became more focused on Hindi films and was rarely seen in Telugu movies.

In an earlier interview, Tabu mentioned that her busy Bollywood schedule was the reason she couldn’t act in more Telugu films. Still, she made a brief return in 2020 with the hit film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun. Before that, her last Telugu movie was Pandurangadu in 2008. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see her again on the Telugu big screen.

Now, exciting news has arrived that Tabu is all set to re-enter Tollywood with a powerful role. She has reportedly signed a new film directed by popular filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. This upcoming movie will feature Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The project is being produced by Puri Jagannadh along with actress Charmy Kaur under their production house.

Sources say that Puri personally approached Tabu with a strong and crucial role in the film. After listening to the script, Tabu liked the character and gave her nod to be part of the project. This film is said to be one of Puri’s important works, and the addition of a talented actress like Tabu is expected to add great value to the story.
