SWAG, starring Sree Vishnu, Ritu Varma, and Meera Jasmine, is a dark comedy-drama that hit theaters globally on October 4, 2024. Directed by Hasith Goli and produced under the People Media Factory banner, this film is the director’s second collaboration with Sree Vishnu, following Raja Raja Chora. Despite high expectations, SWAG has received mixed reviews, with some criticizing its complicated plot.

The movie follows Bhavabuti (played by Sree Vishnu), an ex-police officer who is suddenly informed that he is the sole heir to the Swaganika dynasty. Excited by this unexpected news, he rushes to claim the property, only to discover that there are three other legal heirs, including one who looks exactly like him. The film explores the mystery surrounding Bhavabuti’s inheritance and what happens next.

The film stars several notable actors, including: Sree Vishnu as Bhavabuti, playing multiple roles., Ritu Varma and Daksha Nagarkar as the other female leads. Meera Jasmine, making her return to Telugu cinema after a long break. After its release, SWAG received mixed reactions, with some praising the performances, especially Sree Vishnu’s portrayal, and others finding the narrative too confusing. The movie’s intricate plot was highlighted as both a strength and a drawback, leading to a somewhat lukewarm box office reception.

Although the film did not perform as well as expected in theaters, SWAG is set to release on Amazon Prime Video. The digital rights were sold for a decent amount, and the movie is expected to be available for streaming in the first week of November 2024. The exact release date on the OTT platform will be confirmed later.

The movie was produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Hasith Goli wrote and directed the film, while Vivek Sagar composed the music and background score. The film’s editing was handled by Viplav Nyshadam, and the cinematography was done by Vedaraman Sankaran.
