Income Tax officials are learnt to have conducted raids on prominent film production company Haarika & Haasine Creations on Wednesday. The fresh raids took everyone by surprise in the industry at a time when Tollywood industry is seeing massive box office collections during Sankranthi season.
On Wednesday, a team of officials set off to various production companies to conduct suprise checks. Following the success of Balayya’s film ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya’, it is obvious to assume that IT officials have an eye on production companies. But interestingly, the raids are not conducted on Mythri Movie Makers which has produced these both big-ticket films.
Why Haarika & Haasine is being targeted? This production company hasn’t released any big films this year nor it has any films lined up to release immediately. Usually the company bankrolls small budget films. This is for the second time such IT raids took place at its office in Hyderabad.
It is learnt that IT officials first reached Saradhi Studios this morning and picked Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and drove to his residence My Home Bhooja. Some IT officials conducted searches at Haarika & Haasine office.
However, it is still not clear why these IT raids are being conducted at this prestigious production company. It is learnt that Naga Vamsi has ties with construction giant My Home and he has reportedly collaborated with the company Phoenix.
