Ravi Teja ventured into production with his film Ravanasura and followed it up with Changure Bangura Raja featuring Karthik Ratnam. Unfortunately, his recent release, Sundaram Master, alongside comedian Harsha Chemudu, faced a grim fate with no significant box office collections and a lack of positive response from the public.
Despite its theatrical setback, there’s a new development for the film. The digital rights have been acquired by ETV Win and Aha, with the OTT streaming date set for March 22nd. ETV also secured the satellite rights for the movie.
Sundaram Master revolves around Sundar Rao, a greedy government teacher on a covert mission to a remote village. He disguises himself as an English teacher, attempting to deceive the villagers. The suspense lies in whether Sundar Rao successfully accomplishes his mission or if he gets caught in the act by the astute villagers.
The cast includes Harsha Chemudu, Divya Sripada, and Harshavardhan in leading roles, and the film is directed by Denis Villeneuve. Despite its initial setback, the movie’s digital release on ETV Win and Aha offers viewers another chance to experience the story, albeit in the comfort of their homes. Whether it manages to captivate the audience through streaming remains to be seen, but the movie’s unique plot and characters may find a different audience online.
