BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has found fault with veteran journalist Rajdeep Sardesai of India Today for being involved in the TRP fraud. Swamy in an interactive session was talking about Dr. Sudhir Gupta’s foul play in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case and in that he said, “The AIIMS didn’t have the body of Sushant as it was cremated therefore they did not do original research. They had Cooper Hospital’s report on the basis of which they conducted their tests. Dr. Sudhir then announced it a suicide according to Rajdeep Sardesai. Rajdeep Sardesai is now under investigation for the TRP fraud. I didn’t think he would cheat like this. They have been giving lectures to everyone in their magazine now they themselves are part and let’s see how that goes.”
Ever since MumbaiPolice Commissioner Param Bir Singh claimed to have busted the TRP scam, the Republic TV has been under the scanner. The Mumbai Police are leaving no stones unturned to take down the media channel who is alleged of being involved in manipulating viewership. However, the FIR which the Mumbai Police Commissioner cited never uttered Republic TV’s name instead it clearly outlined the name of the India Today group. It was further revealed that the India Today group had paid the fine of Rs 5 lakh to the BARC for manipulating the viewership
