This horror-comedy film is a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. With a buzz that it surpasses the first movie Stree 2 has earned an impressive ₹188 crores worldwide within just three days of release.
Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee, Stree 2 is captivating audiences with its perfect mix of laughs and scares. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie grossed ₹188 crores globally in just three days with ₹163 crores earned in India alone and ₹25 crores from the overseas market.
By Monday, August 19 the film is expected to enter the ₹200 crore club, making it a massive hit. Despite the release of other films like Khel Khel Mein in Hindi, Vedala and Mr. Bachchan in Telugu, and Double iSmart and Thangalan in Tamil, Stree 2 remains unbeatable at the box office. The movie introduces a new ghost character named Sarkata, adding fresh thrills to the plot.
The story focuses on how the villagers of Chanderi confront this new villain. Tamannaah Bhatia also features in a special song, adding extra flavor to the film.
