The excitement surrounding the grand worldwide release of Bholaa Shankar, starring Chiranjeevi and Tamannaah Bhatia, is tinged with legal drama. Just before its much-anticipated theatrical debut, a distributor from Vizag has thrown a curveball by seeking to halt the movie’s release through legal action. Meher Ramesh directs this cinematic spectacle that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
Well, it turns out the film’s producers, who are also linked to the creation of another movie named Agent, are at the centre of the storm. The issue stems from distribution rights and payment commitments. The producers received a hefty sum of Rs. 30 crores from the distributor Satish for rights across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. However, they didn’t hold up their end of the bargain in Vizag, leaving the distributor feeling shortchanged.
The distributor Satish claims the producers promised a payment of Rs. 20 crores, either upon the release of Agent or before Bholaa Shankar hits the screens. Sadly, these assurances weren’t honoured, leading the distributor to take legal action. Seeking intervention, the distributor has turned to the courts, aiming to halt the movie’s release temporarily. The court will listen to their arguments and decide the way forward.
Meanwhile, Bholaa Shankar features a star-studded cast, including Keerthy Suresh, Sushanth, Vennela Kishore, and Getup Srinu. With Meher Ramesh at the helm and AK Entertainments backing the project, the film is set to hit theatres with a musical score composed by the talented Mahati Swara Sagar. As the legal drama unfolds, fans and industry observers eagerly await how it all pans out.
