Boyapati, a well-known director in Tollywood, has achieved considerable acclaim for his handling of senior actors, particularly Balakrishna. However, when it comes to young heroes, it appears he might be losing his touch.
With Ram’s film Skanda, Boyapati, has recently faced some challenges. His track record with young heroes shows a pattern of underwhelming results. This has made young actors think twice about collaborating with Boyapati.
Boyapati scored hits like Tulasi, Simha, Legend and Akhada, all of which primarily feature senior heroes, with Sarainodu being the only exception.
In the case of young heroes, Ram Charan experienced a significant setback with the release of Vinaya Vidheyarama, which turned out to be a major disappointment. He even had to apologize to his fans for the film’s performance. NTR also faced a similar situation with Boyapati’s movie Dammu, and Bellamkonda had his share of struggles.
Boyapati’s recent film, Skanda, has been a major letdown, leading to speculation that his style might not be well-suited for younger male leads. This has cast a shadow over Boyapati’s future prospects.
Unquestionably, the failure of Skanda has hit Boyapati hard, and it’s confirmed that he won’t proceed with “Skanda-2.” It remains to be seen whether he can bounce back with Akhanda-2 featuring Balakrishna as previously announced, in an attempt to prove himself once more.
