Star hero’s movie exits Sankranti race; Line clear for Game Changer?
Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated film, Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, was initially slated for a grand Pongal 2025 release. However, reports suggest that the movie’s release might be postponed due to incomplete shooting schedules. The news has created buzz among fans and industry insiders alike, as it also paves the way for a smoother release of Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
At a recent event in Chennai, producer Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers, who is backing both Pushpa 2 and Good Bad Ugly, revealed that seven days of shooting for the Ajith Kumar starrer remain unfinished. Although the team initially announced a Pongal 2025 release, the final date is yet to be confirmed. Naveen’s ambiguous statements have led to speculation that the film might hit theaters later than expected.
Adding to the intrigue, rumors are rife that the decision to postpone Good Bad Ugly was influenced by veteran actor Chiranjeevi. Sources suggest Chiranjeevi intervened to ensure that the release of his son Ram Charan’s political action drama, Game Changer, faces no competition during the lucrative Pongal season. With Game Changer being one of the most awaited films of 2025, this move could ensure a bigger audience and box-office success for the movie.

Meanwhile, fans eagerly await Ajith Kumar’s return to the big screen with Good Bad Ugly, an action-comedy that marks his comeback after the 2023 hit Thunivu. Alongside this, Ajith has another project titled Vidaa Muyarchi lined up.
Ram Charan’s Game Changer, directed by Shankar, has also garnered significant attention, promising high-octane action and gripping storytelling. With this development, all eyes are now on the makers of both films for further announcements.
