Star heroes turning producers is not unusual. Even the likes of NTR, ANR and Krishna made movies on home banners. Several others followed suit and worked to produce movies. But, not everyone has become successful. They need to be adept in production-related works and the number crunching. Several top-notch heroines like Savitri have failed in this.
Among the current crop, Nag is making films in his Annapurna studios, while Venky has Suresh Production. Balayya Babu too has become a producer after he made NTR biopic on NBK banner. He is now working to launch his son Mokshagna. Chiru has Konidela productions. Mahesh Babu has MB Corporation and is funding Adavi Sesh’s Gudhachari 2. The MB Corporation is also producing web series and small films. Cherry is producing movies for his father under Konidela productions. He too could soon start supporting small budget films. Similarly, Bunny is planning to make films under AA Banner and is all set to support small budget films.
Young heroes like Nithin, Nani and Sharwanand have gained experience as producers. Naga Shourya too has a family banner. Ditto with Nara Rohit. Hero Sudheer Babu started home banner and made a hit film like Nannu Dochukonduvate. He is now planning to make another film. Sandip Kishan too is turning a producer. Most of them want to promote creativity and have a passion to make films.
