OMG 2 is an upcoming Bollywood film that stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in lead roles. It is a sequel to the 2012 hit film OMG – Oh My God! and is directed by Amit Rai.
However, the film has hit a roadblock as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly deemed its content to be slightly controversial. As a result, the film has yet to receive clearance for release, and the makers of the film are eagerly waiting for the CBFC to clear it.
According to reports, the team is hoping to begin a 10-day marketing campaign for the film soon, as the scheduled release date of August 11 is fast approaching. The delay in clearance from the CBFC has caused some panic among the team, and Akshay Kumar is reportedly using his contacts to get the film cleared for a theatrical release.
The film is set to release alongside the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, which is also slated to release on August 11. Both films are expected to have a clash at the box office. It remains to be seen how the CBFC clearance issue will affect the release of OMG 2 and its box office performance.
