Director Srikanth Addala surprised everyone with the teaser and trailer of his upcoming film ‘Peda Kapu,’ scheduled for release on September 28th. In a manner reminiscent of other directors like Dasari, Kodi Ramakrishna, and K Viswanath, who have made appearances in their own films, Srikanth Addala has embarked on a similar journey.
His role in the movie holds significant importance for the storyline, and he even delivers some colloquial Godavari-style dialogues. When questioned about his decision to step into the actor’s shoes, Srikanth Addala revealed that originally, Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir was slated for the role.
However, although Shahir had approved the script, he did not show up for the shooting. With several actors already committed to the project, Addala’s associate, Kishore, proposed that he take on the role himself.
Initially hesitant, Addala eventually warmed up to the idea and portrayed the character. He clarified that acting was not his passion, and the brief appearances he made during his tenure as an assistant director were primarily due to necessity.
