Sridevi Soda Center is a film that is being talked about a lot in the last few days. The film is out and, read on to see if it has any juice in it or not.
Story
Soori Babu(Sudheer Babu) is an electrician in Amalapuram who is head over heels on Sridevi(Anandi). When things are going fine in his love story, he gets embroiled in a murder case. If this was not enough, Sridevi’s father(Naresh) creates tense problems for Soori Babu. How did Soori Babu handle these multiple problems is the story of this film.
Performances
Anandi plays the main lead and she is impressive as the stubborn lover. She got a lot of scope to perform and is very good in the crunch scenes in the second half. Sudheer Babu has done well in a key role. He has performed in a mature manner in the film and does justice to his role completely. The climax portion where he emotes with Naresh was very good.
Speaking of Naresh, he is the surprise package of the film. He has a caste-crazy father was amazing in his role. Watch out for his deadly act in the second half and Naresh will thrill you completely.
Analysis
The film is directed by Palasa fame Karuna Kumar. His debut film was also based on the caste system and the same is the case with this film as well. But the difference here is the setup is town-based. There are a few commercial aspects that have been added by Karuna Kumar in the first half just to make things good but they don’t work as the first half is dull.
The second half is the place where most of the magic happens. The manner in which the love story ends will surely shock you. Naresh takes charge of this part and the story is in full flow during this time. Things are highlighted even better by Mani Sharma’s music and good visuals which nicely showcase the love story.
But the story is not devoid of errors. The first half is dull and nothing much happens. Just to make things commercial, songs are added and this part disappoints. The love story which forms the crux has been neglected. The chaos that follows in the second half should have been developed from the beginning itself. Having said all this, the film still has some decent moments to watch out for thanks to the gritty drama.
Bottom Line – Dramatic Ending Works
