South films to watch this week in theatres

The South film industry is ready to deliver fresh stories this week with six new theatrical releases. Each film explores a different genre, from thrillers to emotional dramas.

Good Bad Ugly

Starring Ajith, Good Bad Ugly is directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and marks their first-ever Tamil production. Along with Ajith and Trisha, the film features a strong cast including Arjun Das, Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Sayaji Shinde, Tinnu Anand and Priya Prakash Varrier.

Bazooka

Directed by Deeno Dennis, this Malayalam action-thriller stars Mammootty, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Babu Antony. The story follows a police officer and a businessman who use mind games to catch a serial killer.

Maranamass

Inspired by real events, this Malayalam film stars Basil Joseph and Rajesh Madhavan. The plot focuses on a serial killer who finds himself in an awkward situation on a night bus with his target and the target’s girlfriend.

Alappuzha Gymkhana

This coming-of-age Malayalam film features Naslen K Gafoor and Shine Tom Chacko. It centers on a group of students who get into college through sports quota and take up boxing, striving to achieve their dreams.

Vidyapati

A Kannada drama starring Nagabhushana NS and Malaika Vasupal. The movie tells the story of a man who lives off his wife’s fame. When tensions rise in their marriage, he goes on a personal journey to find his own identity.

Agnyathavasi

This Kannada murder mystery, starring Rangayana Raghu and Paavana Gowda, takes place in a quiet village disrupted by a shocking murder. The investigation uncovers hidden secrets within the community.
