Sai Pallavi made her cinematic debut with the Malayalam film Premam in 2015. Directed by Alphonse Puthren, Premam is a coming-of-age romance that also stars Nivin Pauly. Produced on a budget of Rs 4 crore, the film became a massive commercial success, grossing Rs 74.5 crore. It enjoyed an extensive theatrical run of 175 days in Kerala and over 300 days in Tamil Nadu.
