South actress won most Filmfare awards: When discussing renowned actresses in the South Indian film industry, names like Nayanthara, Trisha, and Samantha often come up. However, the actress who has won the most Filmfare Awards in this region is Sai Pallavi.

Sai Pallavi made her cinematic debut with the Malayalam film Premam in 2015. Directed by Alphonse Puthren, Premam is a coming-of-age romance that also stars Nivin Pauly. Produced on a budget of Rs 4 crore, the film became a massive commercial success, grossing Rs 74.5 crore. It enjoyed an extensive theatrical run of 175 days in Kerala and over 300 days in Tamil Nadu.

Following the success of Premam, Sai Pallavi’s career took off, and she never looked back. Known for her natural acting and makeup-free looks, she quickly won the hearts of fans and critics alike. She primarily works in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films and has accumulated numerous accolades, including six Filmfare Awards South and two South Indian International Movie Awards. Sai Pallavi’s recent work includes the 2022 Tamil-language legal drama film Gargi. She is also set to make her Bollywood debut soon, reportedly portraying Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the Ramayana.

Over the years, Sai Pallavi has established herself as a top actress in South Indian cinema.
