Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding is the talk of the town and the soon to be couple look radiant at the Mehendi ceremony held today. Sonam looked resplendent in ivory and gold lehenga whihc was curated by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The designer is known for thier exclusive chikankari work and the lehanga in question took over 18 months. Sonam’s trousseau Swarovski crystals, sequins, zari and zardosi work.
Talking to Vogue, the designer said,”This ensemble is a labour of love and joy. Sonam is our absolute favourite and for her wedding, it had to be a fantasy piece that set new creative standards for us in order to do full justice to her and this sacred occasion. She ordered it two years ago and it’s taken multiple teams of artisans eighteen months to create.” The Neerja actress wore her mother’s jewellery for the occasion. Her fiance Anand wore chikankari kurta and finished the look with an emerald brooch.
