Born on May 31, 1992, in Andhra Pradesh, Sobhita Dhulipala hails from a Telugu Brahmin family. Her father, Venugopal Rao, is a Merchant Navy engineer, and her mother, Santha Kamakshi, is a primary school teacher. She has a sister, Samantha, who is a radiologist. Dhulipala grew up in Visakhapatnam and later moved to Mumbai at the age of sixteen for her higher studies. She attended H.R. College of Commerce and Economics at the University of Mumbai, where she studied corporate law.
Alongside her studies, Sobhita Dhulipala trained in classical dance forms like Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. She gained early recognition when she was crowned Navy Queen at the Navy Ball in 2010.
