Boyapati Srinu has established himself as a brand synonymous with unapologetically mass-oriented films in the current cinematic landscape. Right from the inception of his career, he has been consistently delivering high-octane action-packed entertainers infused with extravagant masala elements.
However, in recent times, his formulaic approach to crafting these mass entertainers appears to be taking a toll on his reputation. This issue has come to the forefront once again with his latest film, “Skanda,” featuring Ram in the lead role, which has magnified the shortcomings in his directorial style.
It appears that Boyapati remains firmly entrenched in the mass-oriented storytelling paradigm, as evidenced by “Skanda,” which follows a similar trajectory. Unfortunately, the film is marred by a multitude of illogical sequences, an excessive display of violence, and unnecessary political undertones. These factors have, in fact, become liabilities for the movie.
In light of these developments, it is imperative that Boyapati takes a moment to reevaluate his filmmaking style if he hopes to achieve success with his forthcoming projects.
