Sivakarthikeyan’s remuneration for Amaran surpasses Sai Pallavi’s by 10 times
The movie Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, was released on October 31, coinciding with Diwali celebrations. It has been receiving praise from audiences and critics alike. The film, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a heroic figure in the Indian Army, showcases his sacrifices for the country as well as his relationship with his partner, Indhu Rebecca Varghese. Major Mukund, who was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, is portrayed in the film by Sivakarthikeyan, while Sai Pallavi plays Indhu.
One topic that has garnered much attention is the remuneration paid to the lead actors. According to reports from the Times of India, Sivakarthikeyan received around Rs 30 crore for his role, whereas Sai Pallavi was reportedly paid Rs 3 crore. However, neither the actors nor the film’s production team has confirmed these figures.
Ahead of Amaran’s release, Sivakarthikeyan expressed his gratitude to his fans on social media. Reflecting on his experience, he mentioned that it was deeply moving to play a character inspired by a soldier who served with bravery and dedication. In his message, he said, “It’s been an emotional experience to portray the journey of #MajorMukundVaradarajan, his fearless service, and the sacrifices he made for our nation.
