Looks like this is a season of U turns, going back on our words. After Dr Sudheer Gupta of AIIMS, anchor and host Simi Garewal seems to have regretted supporting Kangana Ranaut. The lady who appears to be polished, compassionate, receptive and carries herself with dignity hasn’t made up her mind as to what is wrong and what is right, who is wrong and who is right. Initially, she had tweeted in July saying, “I applaud #KanganaRanaut who is braver & bolder than I am. Only I know how a ‘powerful’ person has viciously tried to destroy my career. I stayed silent. Because I am not so brave…@KanganaOffical.” She further wrote, “I don’t know what all of you felt after watching… but it has left me quite depressed… I’m distraught at what #SushantSingRajput endured… and also what many ‘outsiders’ go through in Bollywood… it must change!”
Now she retweeted a news article about the Mumbai Police taking action against those who tried to malign the force’s name and created fake accounts to defame the police. As soon as Simi tweeted the article, a fan reminded how she, too, was supportive of Kangana and had called her brave. The fan wrote, “I‘m sorry mam but I remember even you falling prey to the propaganda and believing that SSR was murdered. Plus your constant appreciation for a bigoted individual like Kangana who only milked his death for personal vendetta.”
Responding to their tweet, Simi wrote, “Sarah in the beginning we were all shocked & grasping for any clues & news. But when the abject motives emerged & continued ad nauseam, I’m disgusted!! They’ve been feasting on Sushant’s death!!” God knows by what she means feasting on Sushant’s death. We’d rather wait or not wait till the CBI comes up with their probe report.
