Actress Shruti Haasan doesn’t seem very excited about being part of the upcoming pan-India movie, ‘Salaar,’ which is set to release in just ten days. Despite the movie’s close release date, she hasn’t been actively involved in its promotions. This isn’t unusual for her, as observed during her previous films like ‘Veerasimha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veeraya.’ However, even for Pan-India film like ‘Salaar, there hasn’t been much effort from her end for promotion.
According to insiders, Shruti’s role in ‘Salaar’ might not be very significant. It’s rumored that the director, Prashant Neel, didn’t focus much on her character, as the story primarily revolves around Prabhas and Prithviraj. Her appearance in the trailer was very limited, with just one shot, and it’s said that there are no duets featuring her in the movie’s commercial format.
This poses a challenge in terms of material available to promote her role in the film. Although the team planned a joint interview, it’s uncertain whether it will happen as scheduled.
Regardless of how successful ‘Salaar’ might turn out to be, Shruti Haasan might not benefit much from it. Just like Srinidhi Shetty, whose career didn’t pick up momentum after ‘KGF,’ opportunities might come slowly for Shruti too.
Having already experienced success in her career, she might not gain much from new hits or face losses from flops. Apart from Shruti, Eswari Rao is another noteworthy female character in ‘Salaar,’ which is releasing on the 22nd. In Prashant Neel’s movies, which predominantly focus on men and action, the expectations revolve around the hero and the villain.
The anticipation now surrounds how much of an impact ‘Salaar’ will make upon its release.
