Kamal Haasan has taken a big plunge into politics and announced his party name Makkal Needhi Maiam. The actor has had also announced that would be bidding goodbye to films after wrapping up Shankar’s Indian 2. But his decision had not only sent a shock to his fans but his daughters Shruti and Akshara were unhappy as well.
Kamal Daughters Didn’t Like Him Quitting Films
“They didn’t like it at all. They were very unhappy…specially Shruti. She said what happens to the artist and it is her right to ask because she truly believes that the artist belongs to her. That artist resides in her also. She is proud of her DNA,” Kamal said.
“They were very concerned. They are in love with the father who is an artist and they are proud of it. Now they feel what will happen to that part. I said, there are many things to replay including your memory. I had to convince them this is my calling and I have to go in this direction. Kindly accept that and I’m happy that they are with me. Not necessarily by politically but by the spirit,” he adds.
On the work front, Kamal is gearing up for his release Vishwaroopam 2. However, it is yet-to-be-seen whether the film gets delayed due to death of DMK chief Karunanidhi.
