Shanmukha OTT:
Aadi Saikumar and Avika Gor’s crime thriller film Shanmukha is now set to premiere on OTT after its theatrical release. Directed by Shanmugam Sappani, the movie didn’t do well at the box office despite having an intriguing storyline. The film released in theatres on March 21 but failed to grab much attention from audiences.
The movie revolves around a mysterious case that connects missing girls and the sudden deaths of their boyfriends. Sara Maheswaran, played by Avika Gor, is a journalist investigating the case. She teams up with police officer Karthik Vallabhan, played by Aadi Saikumar, to uncover the dark secrets behind these incidents.
Though the film’s story received some appreciation for its unique theme, it struggled due to weak screenplay execution. Music composer Ravi Basrur, known for his work with director Prashanth Neel, has given the background score for this film.
The film’s digital streaming rights have been acquired by Telugu OTT platform Aha Video. The platform has officially announced that Shanmukha will start streaming on April 11. Aha’s social media described the movie as involving a cop, a scholar, and a deep forest mystery filled with ancient secrets.
The movie features a large cast, including Aditya Om, Chirag Jani, Manoj Nandam, Krishnudu, CVL Narasimha Rao, Chitram Seenu, and Ariyana Glory, among others. The script was written by Satish Aketi. Produced by Tulasi Ram Sappani, Shanmugam Sappani and Ramesh Yadav under the Sapbro Productions banner, the film includes cinematography by RR Vishnu and Krishna Murali, and editing by M.A. Malik.
