Shanmukh Jaswanth, known for his stint in Bigg Boss Telugu, is facing legal issues as Hyderabad police took him into custody following the discovery of weed (ganja) at his home. The trouble involves his brother, Sampathy Vinay, who allegedly deceived a woman he was engaged to by marrying another woman a week before their planned wedding.
The woman, introduced to Sampath through Shanmukh, filed a complaint accusing Sampath of deception, claiming his parents urged her to “move on” upon learning of his secret marriage. When the police went to arrest Shanmukh’s brother, he wasn’t home, but ganja was found in Shanmukh’s possession. Both brothers are now facing separate legal cases, and an investigation is underway.
The complaint details how Shanmukh persuaded her to date his brother despite her initial reservations. Additionally, she alleged that a constable named Javed pressured her to withdraw the case. This isn’t Shanmukh’s first legal entanglement; in 2021, he was arrested for driving under the influence, causing damage to parked cars and bikes in Hyderabad. His blood alcohol content was reported at 170 mg/100 ml.
