Performances
Rishi plays the main lead and he is good in his role. Though he always keeps a smiling face, he could showcase the intense emotions even better. But still, he does a decent job. Deviyani is solid in her role and the manner in which she showcases key emotions is so good to see. The other supporting cast was also good but they mouthed vulgar dialogues.
What’s Good

What’s Bad

too much bad words
Analysis
Shaitan is about a man who becomes wild and has no issues with it. Whatever he does, his family supports him and there is absolutely no guilt in anyone of them. In fact, the character of Bali says that he is not a villain but he is a victim of the story. Such is the base of this web series created by Mahi V Raghav and he has done a great job in keeping the show as was promised to the audience.
He has made sure that he showcases situations in such a way that the audience gets jolted from their seats. The usage of curse words is so much that the emotion is conveyed in a very strong manner. There are nine episodes and each of them has a crisp time and does not bore the audience with silly and boring subplots. There is rush in the proceedings and the audience is not put in a lag.
The visuals are neat and the journey of a criminal and how he goes to an extent to save himself is shown in a brutal manner. There are no wow scenes in the show but the dialogues make the proceedings interesting. In fact, one gets used to the foul language as it becomes an emotional connect to the show. Whatever family angle is shown it is unapologetic.
Shaitan is made on a gripping note. The story might not make you sit up but the narration will. The gore and crime shown is arresting. It is not for all and not for family viewing. If you like bold shows with violence and intense narration, Shaitan is for you. Lower your expectations and watch, it will not bore you one bit.
